Canine Good Citizen/Therapy dog class

Prerequisite - Beginner Class
This is a four-week class session to fine tune you and your dog’s skills (loose leash walking, come on command, sit/stay, down/stay, body handling, walking through a crowd with distractions and three minute separation) to prepare for the Therapy  Dog test. Some therapy dog organizations require a Canine Good Citizen title; however, they all require a well adjusted/balanced dog that can walk with a loose leash, stay, tolerate being touched and move through hallways that may have medical equipment and remain calm. After successfully completing the course, your dog should be ready to take the CGC test.
Equipment: Buckle collar, martingale, chain collar (no prongs or harnesses) 4 or 6 foot leash.
Two CGC Classes are offered weekly. Select the day and time that’s convenient for you.
Monday, 8:00 - 9:00 p.m
